Nia is about you and your body – getting in to it, feeling at home with it whatever your shape, size or fitness level. In 1983 Debbie Rosas Stewart and Carlos AyaRosas co-created Nia as a well-being fitness and lifestyle practice that has benefited people around the globe.
Nia reconnects people to the joy of movement. Through expressive movement - the Body's Way - Nia empowers people to achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and well-being. Nia changes people's lives, enabling them to live into your greatness.
Nia is a cardio-dance workout that combine 52 simple moves with dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts to get you fit in 60 minutes – in body, mind, emotion, and spirit. Each Nia workout session tones your body while transforming your mind. Nia brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, with a sense of emotional balance.

About Michele
Michele is a dancer, teacher, artist, nutritionist, gardener, knitter, mother, grandmother, lover of Nature and a certified Nia First Degree Black Belt teacher.
Michele’s love of dancing began as a very young girl, when she loved to create her own moves to music. Fitness continued to be important to Michele as she became a keen horsewoman, competing in teams representing her university. Her education includes a B.Sc degree in Biochemistry and Physiology and a M.Sc in Nutrition. Michele is author of the book Eat Dance Shine, How to come alive, gain energy and push back the years. Michele lives in Kings Langley where she teaches Nia in person as well as online.
